☀️Career Coaching ☀️- Interview tip for those lucky enough to have been shortlisted for interview!
A client of mine upon my recommendation asked a Hiring Manager the following Question recently:
“How has life been for you & your team during lockdown? How have you found managing your team remotely & how have your team coped with it?”
To say that the ‘Hiring Manager’ was blown away (which came through in the feedback afterwards) is an understatement 👍
The very fact that my client (the Candidate) took the time to ask such a caring, empathetic question showed the Manager that this prospective employee cared about them & their team & how they were coping in real life👌
This secured the position for my client who was also suitably qualified to perform the role!
What such Q’s do is bring a human element to the interview interaction! It shows a deep sense of sincerity from the candidate & elevates the candidate as a human being in the eyes of the Hiring Manager.
Ultimately through this carefully thought out questioning, it made the Managers decision very easy, as any organisation would want to hire such a person
Prepping for interview is not ‘Rocket Science’ but there are certainly things you can do to make yourself stand out once you get that interview👍
